Dear Editor:

The voters of the Boothbay peninsula are extraordinarily fortunate to have Dr. Wendy Wolf as an independent candidate for our state representative. As a twice-elected Boothbay Harbor selectman and co-chair of the Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor Joint Economic Development Committee, Wendy is a committed and tireless community supporter and volunteer who is skilled at bringing people together to improve and plan for our region’s future.

In her professional life, Wendy was a pediatric cardiologist and, more recently, CEO of a statewide nonprofit dedicated to improving health care in Maine.

I have known Wendy for more than ten years and am proud to have such a caring and fair-minded person as a friend. She is thoughtful and even-tempered, ready to listen to all sides of an issue, and always ready to pitch in and help as the need arises.

Wendy will be an excellent state rep., and I hope you will vote for her on Nov. 8.
