Dear Editor:

As I was waiting to check out at Hannaford recently, the gentleman in front of me appeared confused as he attempted to pay for his purchases. It soon become apparent he didn’t have enough money for the items he wanted to purchase. The cashier realizing this, immediately stepped around the corner, took out his wallet, and inserted his own charge card.

How wonderful to live in a community where people are willing to help out a stranger.
