Harbor Fest raises funds for organizations

Harbor Fest organizer Lori Reynolds has announced the final fundraising numbers for various events held during the Sept. 2-11 festival.

The Harbor Fest 5k & Half Marathon raised $5,000 to benefit the Diabetes Prevention program, offered through a partnership with the Boothbay Region YMCA, the Central Lincoln County YMCA and LincolnHealth. This DPP program will serve all of Lincoln County and is planned to begin in the fall of 2016.

The BRCTV Film Fest raised $4,200 to benefit BRCTV.

The Fishin For Fashion Show raised $2,000 to benefit the Boothbay Region High School Senior Class Project Graduation.

A Stroke of Art raised $500 to benefit BRCTV

"I would also like to recognize the directors of these events, who volunteered countless hours to make them possible," said Reynolds via email. "In addition to the monies raised, all of these events are an incredible asset to our region, in terms of exposure and economic impact."
