Dear Editor:

I watched with interest the presentation given by Mr. Lenters, the consultant to MDOT. He presented an excellent case for the roundabout. I have witnessed a number of "near misses," particularly in the area of the monument. Some drivers sail through the stop onto Corey Lane, or in their impatience, others cut it too close when entering Route 27. With the growth of our region's attractions, this situation will only get worse. 

I am in favor of the roundabout and hope the community will seize this opportunity and make it reality. Whether for safety's sake, future growth planning, or this unique funding opportunity, the time to act is now. In the long term, it is to everyone's benefit.
