Fall United Way Campaign drawing to a close

Thu, 11/07/2013 - 3:30pm

Fall United Way Campaign drawing to a close. “Loaned Executives” join United Way of Mid Coast Maine staff and volunteers in the fall to provide information on community needs and services, deliver individual and workplace solicitations, and help the community reach its $1,930,000 goal.

The Sagadahoc Bridge in the background has been nicknamed the “Harriet Bridge” by the campaign assistants, in honor of the 93-year-old woman featured in this year’s video (www.uwmcm.org) who used to walk across the bridge before a United Way-funded program offered her volunteer rides.

In addition to L.L.Bean and Bath Iron Works, Loaned Executives are sponsored by Bath Savings Institution, FHC, Inc., and Norway Savings Bank. Pictured from left are: United Way Loaned Executives Sharon Hanna of Cumberland Foreside, Erin Meyers of Brunswick, Gabrielle DiPerri of Wiscasset, Terry Smith of Bath Iron Works and Local S6, Suzanne LeBlanc of L.L.Bean, and Tom Blatz of Wiscasset, United Way Campaign Director.
