Edgecomb Selectmen’s Chairman Jessica Chubbuck would like town contracts for snowplowing, mowing and other work to go up on the town’s website, www.edgecomb.org/.

That would provide immediate access to the documents when they’re needed for the town audit every year, Chubbuck said at the board’s January 28 meeting. It would also help show transparency in town business, she said.

“If anyone wants to know, it’s all there. It’s easy,” Chubbuck said.

Selectman Stuart Smith agreed. “Get as much as we can out there,” he said.

The board discussed possibly buying a scanner to help get the documents online. They said they’ll look at prices and talk more about the idea at a future board meeting.
