Economic group seeks resident input on wayfinding

As things change across the Boothbay peninsula, residents often say they would like more opportunities to provide input to help shape things that are happening in our communities. Now, you have a chance to share your thoughts about the new Joint Economic Development Committee’s (JEDC) new wayfinding project.

Having good wayfinding is an important feature for the Boothbay peninsula. Wayfinding represents all the ways we help visitors and residents alike to use signage, electronic maps, websites, mobile apps and other information to navigate the peninsula and get from place to place.

As the JEDC kicks off the wayfinding project, we’re asking for input from residents, local businesses and visitors to help guide the process by completing a very short on-line survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DYNQQGQ (note the Register’s online version of this article has the direct hyperlink to the survey). It takes about two to three minutes to complete.

Your opinions will help the wayfinding consultants from Gamble Design learn what’s working and what’s not, and identify what the highest priorities are for signage and other wayfinding investments.

The JEDC is committed to ensuring that the region’s wayfinding process reflects the opinions and values of local residents. Don’t miss this chance to help inform and guide our process.
