The Cod Cove Inn has announced that it has received the TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence for 2016. This is the third consecutive year the Inn has earned the prestigious service award.

“We’re especially proud of this industry recognition,” said innkeeper Ted Hugger, who owns the property with his wife, Jill. “Our staff strives to make every guests’ experience exceptional; the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is testimony to our staffs’ efforts. It’s an honor when our guests visit TripAdvisor to rate their stay and even more so when they take the time to write a review.”

TripAdvisor reviews are important for travelers, giving them insight into an individual property. For example, Jennifer D recently posted a Cod Cove Inn review that reads, “Everything about this Inn is wonderful. From the cozy nautical themed rooms with a gorgeous view, the homemade breakfast with delicious giant muffins, and the warm welcome from all of the staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and it's located just a quick drive to both Damariscotta and Wiscasset as well as state parks and lighthouses. A perfect get away!!!”

Now in its sixth year, the achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year and that have continually delivered a quality customer experience. The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

The Cod Cove Inn is a 28-room, year round-property located at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 27 (the Boothbay Road) in Edgecomb, Maine. The property is owned and operated by innkeepers Jill and Ted Hugger, who purchased the inn in September of 2013.
