Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Community School District administrators are investigating violations of the athletic pledge by several Boothbay Region High School students, following an incident that occurred Saturday, Feb. 8, according to Superintendent of Schools Eileen King.

On Tuesday, King reported that 11 student athletes are in violation of the athletic pledge and have been suspended from all activities associated with the program. The length of suspension will vary in some cases if there were prior offenses. Some player suspensions have been issued while other cases are awaiting more information.
