Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library

Library of Things now includes hot spots!

Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library has recently added two hot spots, each with 100GB of data to our growing collection. The hot spots were purchased thanks to a generous grant from Coastal Maine Regional Broadband as part of their initiative to expand the broadband network and to improve accessibility in Lincoln County and beyond.

The hot spots are part of our growing “Library of Things,” which also contains GoPros, Chromebook laptops, telescopes, microscopes and other items that patrons can borrow. So, if you need a VHS player to watch an old tape, want to borrow a Kindle for an upcoming trip, or maybe you have company coming and need a game on hand to entertain the grandkids, BHML has you covered!

In addition to books, DVDs and audiobooks, you can check out any of these items the same way you check out a book. You will need your library card for check-out and a few larger items require you to sign a borrowing agreement.

Check out BHML’s Library of Things. If you have any suggestions for additional items you would like to see added to the collection, let us know!
