Dear Editor:

I am writing to express my deep gratitude for all the expertise and assistance I received after my car spun out while traveling west on Route 96 during the early snow fall on Saturday, Jan.24.

First, a complete stranger, “Stephan,” stopped to check on me and aide me in getting my car out of ongoing traffic. Then another passerby called 911 for us. Then the police and other first responders came to my aide with all their respect and expertise. They are invaluable at an accident and to a person still somewhat in emotional shock.

Boothbay is a great place to live, and so many people in this world, are truly kind and helpful.
