1-31 – Hike the Holiday Story Trail - Follow the illustrated signs that tell a tale along the trail at Boothbay Region Land Trust’s (BRLT) Oak Point Farm, 60 Samoset Road, Boothbay Harbor. 1-31 – Gardens Aglow - At Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. This year due to COVID-19, the event is a driving experience. See the gardens transformed into a magical winter wonderland from the comfort of your own vehicle.  Tickets, info: www.mainegardens.org. Through Jan. 2.

2-5 – Gingerbread Spectacular - New dates! Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, 86 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor. See gingerbreads! 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Music. Bake sale. Free admittance! Masks must be worn inside.

4-6 - Wiscasset Marketfest -  10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Music, unveiling of this years “Wreaths Across America;” ice carving, carol singing, tree lighting on the Common ... and shopping, of course - look for the candy canes in business doorwarys marking participating shops! 5 - Santa at the Whale Park - A socially distanced drive-thru experience in the Whale Park from 1-3 p.m. Santa will also have his mailbox with him for letters that still need to make it to the North Pole, so don’t forget to bring your letter and drop it off with the big guy himself! Remember to include your return address on the envelope!

5 - Darlene Love - A virtual Holiday Concert at 8 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from this holiday show will benefit the Opera House. Grammy Award Winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Darlene Love, has long been recognized as “one of the greatest singers of all-time” by Rolling Stone Magazine. Her voice launched dozens of hits including “He’s a Rebel,” “(Today I Met) The Boy I’m Gonna Marry,” “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). Due to Covid19, Love isn’t touring, but tonight brings all the flash and fun of her Christmas show directly to you. 7, 8 – Christmas Tree Trains - WW&F Railway Museum, 97 Cross Road, Alna. Pick a tree at the farm. It will be delivered to your car by train. 882-4193. http://wwfry.org

12 - Lighted Boat Parade - 6:45 p.m. Holiday decorated vessels make their way around the inner harbor. Best viewing: Waterfront park; Fishermen’s Memorial Park and Our Lady Queen of Peace church on Atlantic Avenue.

12 - Sparkle Fireworks - 7:30 p.m. over the outer harbor. Best viewing same as boat parade.

16 – Men's Night - Local merchants offer super discounts to finish those Christmas lists – and some will even be cooking up burgers and other tasty treats on the sidewalks to keep up your strength.
