A memorable ‘Railway SPOOKtacular’

Tue, 10/29/2019 - 8:00am

Dear Editor:

The “Railway SPOOKtacular” Committee would like to send a sincere thank you to the community and all who attended our family Halloween event on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Boothbay Railway Village. It was a wonderful day that brought smiles to hundreds of faces.

We were thrilled to have 12 businesses participate in our trick-or-treat table decorating contest! Visitors voted for their favorite and the winners are: First place, Boothbay Harbor Apparel; second place, Bayside Inn Bed & Breakfast; and third place, Boothbay Harbor Inn/Fisherman’s Wharf Inn

We would not have been able to pull off “Railway SPOOKtacular” without the support of countless volunteers, which included BRES and BRHS students and adults of all ages. Special thanks to the Railway staff for making the event a priority, as well as John Orne and George Seffic for making train operations possible. And finally, heartfelt thanks to the following businesses and organizations for your support:

Action for Animals Maine, Barnes Awnings & Blinds, Bayside Inn Bed & Breakfast, BBH APPAREL, Boothbay Harbor Framers, Boothbay Harbor Inn, Boothbay Region Information Center, Boothbay Sea & Science, BRES Washington, D.C. Trip, BRHS Costa Rica Trip, BRHS Project Graduation, Campbell Construction, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Eventide Specialties, Fisherman’s Wharf Inn, Flagship Inn, Hallinan Construction, Hodgdon Vessel Services, Howard House Lodge, Kaler’s Crab & Lobster House, Knickerbocker Group, Maine & Ivy, Mama D’s Mercantile, Music Together- Bath/Brunswick, Pier One Pizza, Pinkham’s Gourmet Market, Ports of Italy, Robinson’s Wharf, Sandcastle Entertainment, Sea Glass Spa, and The Community Center.

We look forward to making memories with you again next year!
