News and Notes from The Community Center

Tue, 10/08/2019 - 1:00pm

We will be closed on Oct. 14 to observe Indigenous People’s Day.

Sign-up for Sandra Leonard’s Flower Arranging classes is now occurring. Beginning with “Fundamentals of Design” on Oct. 22, she will follow with “Mass Design” on Oct. 29. In November she will offer “Line Design” on the 5th, “Dried Arrangements” on the 12th, and “Seasonal Arrangements” on the 19th. Each student is responsible for his or her own supplies and there are lists available. One may call in to register for one, several, or all of the classes.

Don’t forget to come and hear Fred Kaplan speak on Oct. 21. Several of his books are available for check-out if you would like to tackle one before the talk.

The Red Wagon project is the Community Closet at the high school. Please remember our students when you are food shopping and drop a surprise in the wagon for any young person who may need an extra treat over the weekend.

Be sure to call 633-9876 if you have questions about our programs or if you need to borrow durable medical equipment or if you need a ride to the center. We are here for you.
