Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: One arrest

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

A wallet was found on East Neck Road in Nobleboro on Aug. 27.The wallet was retrieved and then logged into evidence. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.


Hannah Witwicki, 18, of Boothbay was arrested Aug. 31 for an outstanding Warrant, an Assault and Violating Conditions of Release, on Farnham Point Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Chase Bosse.


On Aug. 27, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Kayleigh Bernier, 19, of Camden. Ms. Bernier was operating a 2012 Nissan Rogue. Bernier was attempting to pass on the right of another vehicle that had stopped in the travel lane. As a result, she crashed into a concrete barrier. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 29, an accident occurred on Builders Square in Boothbay involving Marta Peters, 33, of Edgecomb and Cathy Pilgrim, 63, of Boothbay Harbor. Ms. Peters was operating a 2016 Ford Edge southbound on Wiscasset Road when she stopped to turn left onto Builders Square. Ms. Pilgrim was operating a 2010 Chevrolet HHR and traveling southbound behind Peters’ vehicle and impacted the rear of it. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.
