Lobster Jam 2019 thank you

Mon, 08/05/2019 - 4:45pm

    Dear Editor:

The ninth annual Boothbay Lobster Jam was another success thanks to the coaches, players, fans, officials, volunteers and our generous sponsors. The Lobster Jam has become a mainstay for summer girls basketball teams across the state. Our community is recognized as a wonderful host to 15 other teams and their families for this end of season finale. We could not provide this unique coastal tournament experience without the generous support of our sponsors. Lobster rolls, local jewelry, flavored popcorn and our beautiful community make the Lobster Jam a must for some of the best teams in Maine. We would like to formally thank the following: MVP Sponsor: First National Bank; All Star Sponsor: LincolnHealth; All Star Sponsor: Barnes Custom Window Treatments; and Player Sponsor: Peninsulabuilt

Local lobstermen from Robinson’s Wharf, Sea Pier, Bristol Lobster Sales, Boothbay Lobster Wharf and Atlantic Edge for their donation of lobsters and Atlantic Edge for allowing us to cook and pick these lobsters in their facility. Thank you to Hazen Smith and Eddie Tibbets for their support also.

Donating five pounds of lobster each were Jordan Bean, David Bean, Andy Page, Bill Sherburne, Matt Rice, Andy Hawke, Nick Hawke, Andrew Hawke, Corey Pottle, Ryan Casey, Ryan Andrews, Todd Plummer, Troy Plummer, Jon Farnham and Tyler Farnham.

Other thank-yous go to Coastal Maine Popcorn, Sweet Bay, A Silver Lining, The Cutting Edge, Jansen’s Clothing, Oasis Day Spa, and Faulkingham Custom Builders

We would also like to congratulate and thank Chuck Cunningham and the Faulkingham Family for their winning bids on the 2019 Windjammer Day Parade Grand Marshal banners signed by the 2019 Boothbay Region Girls Basketball Champions.

Teams are already looking forward to the 10th annual Lobster Jam and so are we. Thank you to our amazing volunteers and welcoming community.
