Four positions filled in Boothbay Harbor
Four volunteers have come forward to serve on the Boothbay Harbor planning board and board of appeals. All four appointments were for alternate positions and all four were approved at the selectman’s meeting on Monday, April 13.
New appointees include Bob Hilscher and Ken Fitch to the board of appeals, and Margaret Perritt and Annette Stormont to the planning board.
The selectmen made a plea several weeks ago for volunteers, asking the community to step up and become more involved. They were pleased by the response from area residents.
“It's good to have community participation,” Selectman Wendy Wolf said.
Vice Chairman Bill Hamblen thanked the volunteers for coming forward, and mentioned that there are still opening for alternates on the port committee and the budget committee (the budget committee's duties are finished this year, and will reconvene in January 2016).
