Savory Maine will be hosting a benefit evening Tuesday, April 14, 5-8 p.m., with food, drink and music to benefit Team Garron, who raises money for the March for Babies to benefit the Maine Chapter of the March of Dimes.

Team Garron walks in memory of Garron Martin, who was died due to prematurity in 2009. Every year since then, his family and friends walk in his name in the Greater Portland March for Babies. The March of Dimes' mission is to prevent prematurity, birth defects and infant death through research, advocacy, education and programming in Maine. All funds raised in Maine are used for research and programming throughout the state.

This year's menu will include soups, chowders, quiches, burgers, wine, beer, mead, desserts and a kids' menu. Families are encouraged and welcome.
