The trip to Italy organized by Boothbay Region High School teachers Manon Lewis and Mary Miller over a year ago had begun.
Lewis and Miller and the group of students left this morning for the airport and will soon be in Italy for the 10-day visit.
Five girls and seven boys and their chaperones have a full itinerary for the educational trip, including visiting the cities of Venice, Assisi, Florence, Rome and Pompeii, and enjoying the: delicious food, ancient history, friendly and warm people and infamous art.
