letter to the editor

Your healthcare remains

Mon, 12/14/2020 - 2:30pm

    Dear Editor:

I’m writing in response to the Dec. 7 letter ‘Our health care is gone’ that states health care in Boothbay Harbor, particularly on LincolnHealth’s St. Andrews campus, no longer exists.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Primary care is thriving at the Family Care Center, which remains open five days a week. Lab work is done at the Center as well. In addition, all Wellness and Rehabilitation Services continue on the St. Andrews campus.

The only change in care is the temporary re-assignment of Urgent Care Center staff to the Miles Campus in Damariscotta on Dec. 7, a move made necessary by the surge of COVID-19 cases in Lincoln County.

There are many options if you need care. If you have an emergency, dial 911 or go to the Emergency Department. You can call the Family Care Center at 207-633-7820 to make an appointment from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. You can also call your primary can doctor at any other time and you will be connected with the on-call provider.

We look forward to continuing the exceptional care we provide in the Boothbay Harbor Region.

    James W. Donovan, FACHE

    President, LincolnHealth
