Y Dolphins compete against Stingrays

The Boothbay Region YMCA Dolphins competed against the Kennebec Valley YMCA Stingrays with 23 swimmers on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Augusta. As a team they dropped 204.25 seconds, swam 5 relays, and had 29 best times.

The top two swimmers in time dropped were Byran Hills with 28.82 seconds and Carter Wilson with 22.73 seconds.

With seven first places, 14 second places, 11 third places, and many more, they scored a total of 150 points.

All of the relays were exhibition meaning the swimmers were doing an extra event that didn’t place in the meet. There were two 9-10 200-yard freestyle relays. One was a girls relay with Jackie Branch, Ella Clark, Nathalie Wilson and Emma Doucette, and one was a boys relay with Nicholas Colby, Jonah Fessenden, Shepard Griffith and Austin Chryplewicz.

There were also two 11-12 200-yard freestyle relays. The girls relay team included Elise Wilson, Lucie Hollen, Shea Fritz and Meghan Arnold, and the boys relay team included Kameron Fowlie, Kolby McGhee, Carter Wilson and Ford Harris.

There was one 15 & over mixed relay team of Sage Wickline, Ben Arnold, Hannah Hills and Keegan Murray.

The Dolphins next meet will be home at the Boothbay Region YMCA on Saturday, Feb. 4 at noon.
