Pat Jeremiah and Bonnie Ginger worked on the day lily garden outside the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor main entrance on recent July day.

The garden is stocked, weeded and taken care of all on volunteer time by Ginger and Jeremiah.

Eric Wood, a local contractor, donated mulch for the project.

This is the fifth year the women have volunteered to do gardening.

"I feel you should have pride in your community and your place," Ginger said.
