Wiscasset Police Blotter Jan. 7-13
Chief Larry Hesseltine reported the following activity for the week ending Jan. 13.
On Jan. 9, Burton Blackman III, 33, of Wiscasset, was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault and Domestic Violence Reckless Conduct.
On Jan. 11, following an accident on Willow Lane, Nathaniel Johnston, 30, of Bath, was arrested for OUI (alcohol).
On Jan. 12, Jeremiah Hogan, 29, of Wiscasset, for Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle > 150 Days.
On Jan. 12, Nicholas Bakelmun, 25, of Wiscasset, for Motor Vehicle Speeding 30+ MPH over the Speed Limit.
On Jan. 8, police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Fowle Hill Road. Wyatt Reed, 25, of Wiscasset, was driving too fast for road conditions and lost control when he applied his brakes, striking a tree. There were no injuries.
On Jan. 12, police investigated an accident on Bath Road. Lisa Barnes, 54, of Wiscasset failed to yield the right of way when making a left hand turn out of Camden National Bank's exit driveway hitting a car driven by Christine Shea, 49, of New Harbor.
Wiscasset police responded to 67 calls for service, including 27 vehicle or traffic related, 17 property checks, and several citizen assistance requests, welfare checks and medical emergencies, an attempt to assist another agency, community policing, and reports of fraud, trespassing and criminal mischief.
