Dear Editor:

Better still, what’s not going on? Why did MDOT not start paving of Route 96 at the traffic light instead of at the East Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor town line? The Harbor’s portion is a minefield of potholes. I live in fear that Chief Hasch or one of his finest will follow me, only to be shot the “blues” for OUI while trying to dodge all those potholes. It’s more challenging than an Olympic downhill race course. The final straw was to see taxpayer’s money being spent on new striping on such a poor surface.
