On Monday, July 30 at 7 p.m., the Southport Island Association will sponsor a presentation on the “Public and veterinary health implications of tick- and mosquito-borne diseases on the Maine landscape” at the Southport Town Hall, 361 Hendricks Hill Road, Southport. Everyone is invited!

Charles (Chuck) Lubelczyk (MPH), a vector ecologist with the Maine Medical Center Research Institute, will lead the presentation. Chuck has worked on research in the spread of vector-borne diseases since the late 1990’s, while working in the Vector borne disease laboratory at the Institute in Scarborough, Maine.

This will be an informative and enjoyable discussion with plenty of time for questions. Don’t forget to mark your calendar! Come learn how to avoid becoming a meal.
