Dear Editor:

We choose Holly Stover for state representative because she supports Medicaid expansion. Holly understands that expanding Medicaid will make Mainers healthier and will be a boost to our economy.

Medicaid expansion is the law in our state, as approved by 59 percent of Maine voters in last fall’s referendum. It is the will of the voters to expand Medicaid to cover an additional 70,000 to 80,000 Mainers.

Holly will work to fund Medicaid expansion to address the critical financial problem of unpaid patient care in our small, local hospitals.
