Dear Editor:

After careful consideration, I have chosen my candidates to serve on the Boothbay Harbor Select Board.

Michael Tomko certainly deserves to be elected again. He always has a position that is not only clear, but well reasoned. We need his continued contribution to our town government.

Ken Fitch has my vote for the seat vacated by the fine retiring Selectman Russ Hoffman. Thank you Russ for your contribution especially with the ambulance service.

Ken is not only qualified by virtue of education and experience, but by a genuine desire to see our town grown and prosper. His support for balance of development and public access with a green space plus other amenities deserves our support.

In closing I am remembering an old and loved song written in 1937 — “Peace In The Valley” and made even more popular by Elvis Presley, Mahalia Jackson, Red Foley and many others. Remember the words? They could apply to our town.
