Wed, 11/03/2021 - 11:00am

Update: Due to town ordinances, the food trucks will not be available and cooking s’mores will not be done due to safety concerns by the Spruce Point Inn staff.

Register in advance for the Burnt Island 200th Anniversary Celebration at Spruce Point Inn on Tuesday, Nov. 9 by going to the following website: https://forms.gle/Tc4qFD8WYSB18mf7A

A limit of 250 people will be allowed to attend. The event starts at 4:30 p.m. with food and fun for children and adults.

When darkness finally settles in around 5:30 p.m. party-goers will gather on the deck to provide former keepers with the countdown to relight the beacon that they once so lovingly cared for. This will mark its 73,000th night of service to mariners and local fishermen, with Coast Guard and state officials on hand to certify this historic event.

Come celebrate Boothbay Harbor’s beloved icon and enjoy the magnificent fireworks that will light up the sky above and waters below Maine’s oldest “original” lighthouse.
