Turned: the ancient art of subversion

Mon, 06/15/2020 - 5:15pm

    Dear Editor:

Signs of decades of cultural demoralization abound. Pandemics yes, but lockdowns, never before. We now respond with confusion and weakness to wholesale theft, arson, vandalism and murder. No one is defending their family, their community, and their country anymore. We dismiss hard facts and pure logic with hollow claims of “racism”, “police brutality”, and the like. Every traditional moral virtue has been turned backwards and upside down: love, ambition, faith, courage, patience, and humility have become hatred, idleness, despair, fear, and animalistic predation.

Destabilization comes next, with the wolves within government and industry goading their sheep into full-scale urban rioting, keeping them on the streets with instant-release bail reform laws. A Constitutional crisis now looms, with ex-generals and famous newspapers publicly opposing the commander-in-chief, and a University of Chicago law professor calling on the Pentagon to depose and jail an elected U.S. president. Proof enough?

After the revolution, ‘normalization’ will be harshly enforced, using extreme social pressure and the threat of career destruction to stamp out opposition to our martial-law secured fundamental transformation. The wolves are already saying “if you don’t obey, you won’t eat.” Just ask Drew Brees, and countless others.

When an exhausted nation meekly acquiesces to the indiscriminate destruction of its history and symbols of past achievement, its demoralization is already complete, and there will be little left to salvage. Unless we can miraculously change our cultural trajectory, we will all be trundling on down the road to serfdom, much sooner than we think.

God, please help us, all of us.
