The time has finally arrived. A celebration of the opening of the new Barters Island swing bridge will take place on Monday, Aug. 2 at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend a short ceremony recognizing the event. A ribbon cutting, some short speeches, and a celebratory drive across the new bridge are scheduled. Please plan on attending this once in a lifetime event.
