Trevett Column: Halloween potluck Oct. 16

Fri, 10/04/2019 - 8:00am

Prizes, prizes, prizes. Come in costume or a decorated hat for a chance to win. Our Halloween potluck is Oct. 16 starting at 5:30 p.m. Barb, Arlene, Irena, Judy and Tom would like you to bring an appetizer, main or side dish or dessert to share along with your beverage of choice. As always, coffee and water are available.

These hosts have a reputation for over the top hall decorations. So plan on coming and perhaps you will share a meal with Count Dracula or Marilyn Monroe.

Joan and Kathleen were the hostesses for the well-attended September potluck. Thank you ladies and all the other helpers. Dinner was followed by Bill’s presentation about the history of Paleo Indians and their occupation of Maine and our local area. His slides were interesting and the presentation was most informative. A ginormous thank you to Bill for the many hours of research that he did.

A raffle was held to help defray the costs associated with the August Welcome Celebration Cookout. Mary was the winner and went home with a basket chock full of goodies.

Looking ahead—November will be trivia night.
