Dear Editor:

During the 20 years I owned a medical practice in Boothbay Harbor, I was repeatedly impressed by the competence, compassion, and professionalism of the officers of the Boothbay Harbor Police Department. Their local knowledge is invaluable. They truly care about our community. The officers deserve pay commensurate with their experience. The town needs them.
