letter to the editor

Thank you so much former President Obama

    Dear Editor:

Here was sitting President Barack Obama, attempting to offhandedly claim on BET that inner city law enforcement was systemically racist way back in December 2014:

“And, you know, I’ve said it before, the vast majority of law enforcement officers are doing a really tough job, and most of them are doing it well and are trying to do the right thing. But a combination of bad training, in some cases, a combination in some cases of departments that really are not trying to root out biases, or tolerate sloppy police work. A combination, in some cases of folks just not knowing any better, and in a lot of cases, subconscious fear of folks who look different, all of this contributes to a national problem that’s going to require a national solution.”

When a sitting American president makes a public statement, it eventually becomes the truth to all who support him, and so, six years later, the time has now come to keep all white police officers out of neighborhoods that have now become much too dangerous for them, thanks entirely to former President Obama.

The time has also come for certain young and law abiding inner city residents to finally muster the courage to stand up, become well-trained police officers, and begin defending their own streets from the criminal element that has been ravaging them with drugs, theft, and murderous gang violence for decades. After all, there is really no longer any other solution to this nationwide inner city crime pandemic, thanks again to former President Obama.
