Tell the truth, Joe

Dear Editor:

I enjoy reading the Boothbay Register but “Week 27 - Hard Times” by Ramblings by Joe Gelarden hit a real low.

Joe's comments, contributed to President Trump, labeling soldiers as “losers” and “suckers” were reported to come from unnamed sources.

Soon after, at least 19 members at the meeting where President Trump purportedly made those comments, all 19 in attendance said (and each providing written confirmation) that the president did not make those comments.

But, Joe, you didn't say this in your column, nor that the comments were purportedly said by Trump were from unsubstantiated sources.

So, will the Boothbay Register join the ranks of pot shot journalism with this hack job on President Trump!?

President Trump has vastly improved the VA and strengthened our military to regain respect for this country around the world!

Don't you know Joe, “a flurry of news stories” doesn't mean it's true about what “the fake news” tells you what President Trump says!

I'll continue to read the Register and your column Joe, but please stay clear of hard news, glossed with your political bias, unless you present more of the facts!

Just stick to and keep the fluff stuff flowing on, about Mable next door baking pies!
