Supports Seitzers

Dear Editor:

In regards to the article on June 14 titled “Seitzers share Coulombe's emails,” I have a couple of questions to ask.

First, considering that the article mentioned emails (plural), don't you think it would be best if the Register posts all the emails online on its website so that readers can determine the tone and intent of the correspondence for themselves?

Second, has the Register ever considered adding some historical context to articles about Mr. Coulombe and his wide-ranging projects, like for example this:

Boston Magazine, May 26, 2015, quoting Paul Coulombe - “Well, my initial dream, all my life, since I've been a little boy, has been to own my own town.”

The way I see it, that's all you need to know. His actions in the three years since then have demonstrated that he's living out his boyhood dream. He's even expanded on it from a town to a peninsula.

I applaud the Seitzers for standing up for what they believe in. Their kind is in short supply down there on the peninsula. The cheerleaders are out in full force for Coulombe now. I was taught as a reporter a long time ago to follow the money because money does talk. It holds more true today!

And before everyone gets their knickers in a twist about me living out of town, I lived in Boothbay for 17 years and raised six kids who still make their home there. I have an interest in anything that affects their quality of life.
