Support for Devyn Campbell

Mon, 04/26/2021 - 4:45pm

    Dear Editor:

The Boothbay Harbor board of Selectman has not had commercial fishing representation in a long time. Our industry supports many families and provides the backbone of our tourist economy. Our catch brings people to the dining room tables of this town so it’s time we had a seat at the government tables of this town, and have the ability to protect commercial fishing interests in the town.

Recently we have faced challenges concerning zoning issues with working waterfront development. As the hub of Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay, East Boothbay, Trevett, and Southports fishing fleets it is crucial that we have a voice within the town of Boothbay Harbor to protect our fishing industry now and for future generations.

We as a fleet give our support to Devyn W. Campbell for Boothbay Harbor Selectman.
