The Boothbay Harbor Methodist pie ladies will be selling more than your favorite pies this Saturday, July 31 at the church’s Summer Fair.
The Fair will start at 9:30 a.m. with pies, a cookie walk, baked goods, pickles, jams and ... the lobster roll lunch! Lobster rolls will be available beginning at 10:30 a.m. served with chips, dessert and a beverage, all for $22.
Not a lobster fan? No worries! A chicken salad roll lunch is waiting for you for only $8. Eat in or take your lunch home or to your favorite scenic location.
The “Pie Ladies” have been selling pies summers on the church lawn every other Saturday for the past 16 years, rain or shine. Three summers ago Pastor Richard Rego designed and presented the bakers with Pie Lady T-shirts, and so the “handle” was born. Since then, the congregation’s pie ladies wear them pride.
The church is at 81 Townsend Avenue, across from the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor.
