letter to the editor

Stephanie Hawke works tirelessly

Dear Editor:

I’m gladly taking a moment to write to you regarding my full support to re-elect Stephanie Hawke for the Maine House of Representatives.

I want to start by asking “when does Stephanie Hawke sleep?” In addition to being a busy, active representative for us in Augusta, she willingly serves in so many capacities in our community. And though she is very busy, she still has time for her friends and is accessible to her constituents.

On Sundays, she serves at the American Legion’s breakfasts. She is not showing up because it looks good on a resume, she is serving breakfast and showing her support for our veterans and military.

For Windjammer Days you can find Stephanie attending planning meetings and directing the parade floats and when the parade is over, she is still serving our community by making hamburgers as a fundraiser for the Rebuilding Together program. She works tirelessly because it is evident that she loves this community. She also works tirelessly in the State House to make sure her constituents are well represented.

For years, she has worked diligently on the school committee overseeing our local education system to ensure our kids get a great education.

Speaking of Rebuilding Together, Stephanie doesn’t just do fundraising. She is on the job as a laborer with all the other volunteer workers so local residents will have warm, safe homes to live in.

When Stephanie is not at the Augusta, she is busy running a successful local business and is a wife, a mom, a grandmom, a daughter, and a sister. She understands the importance of healthy businesses and healthy families.

Stephanie is a public servant in the truest sense of the word. We know that she will continue to bring this incredible work ethic of hers to Augusta where she has faithfully supported and enacted legislation that is good for all Mainers. The issues for the state of Maine are serious. Stephanie has stood strong for our interests, even when the going has been tough. She is a leader and gets the job done.

Without a doubt, on Nov. 6, Stephanie Hawke is getting my vote.
