Dear Editor:

A Very Southport Halloween was once again a wonderful community event filled with family fun and most importantly the sense of community that is part of what makes this region so beautiful.

The Southport Island Association, and event organizers, wanted to publicly thank Robinson's Wharf and Tugs Pub, Rachel Leeman, Andrea Hallinan, and Chef Jacob Dushuttle for their no hesitation willingness to jump in and make this annual event possible. The generosity of their time and labor, space, and supplies is just one example of how the businesses in our town are so pivotal in the fostering of year-round community spirit.

So thank you to them, and to all of you who came out to support and spend "A Very Southport Halloween" with us!
