Southport, Boothbay municipal ballots set

    In Southport, all four municipal office incumbents are running for re-election unopposed, but in Boothbay, two incumbent selectmen face opposition.

    Southport Selectman Mary Lou Koskela, Fire Chief Gerry Gamage, Town Clerk Donna Climo and school committee member Adam Harkins are all seeking new three-year terms.

    Two Boothbay long-serving selectmen, Steve C. Lewis and Dale C. Harmon, will face three challengers in seeking another three-year term. Erik T. Ward, Theresa J. Bryer and Lester D. Spear are also seeking one of the two terms.

    Other Boothbay municipal offices have incumbents seeking re-election unopposed. Community School District Trustee Troy Lewis, Superintending School District School Committee member John Bertolet, Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor Cemetery District Trustee Kim Pinkham and Boothbay Region Water District Trustee Nell Tharpe are each seeking another three-year term.

    Southport’s municipal election is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, April 5. Boothbay’s municipal election is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 3.
