Before settling in to feast on snacks and the other joys of football on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 2, you can help less fortunate neighbors and friends who are struggling to feed their families during this cold winter. Please participate in our local 2020 Souper Bowl of Caring, all proceeds from which will go the Boothbay Region Food Pantry.

Bring a check and/or cans or boxes of nutritious food to your church on Sunday, Feb. 2, or leave your contribution at the food pantry between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on that day. Checks should be made payable to the Boothbay Region Food Pantry. Cans and boxes within or close to their sell-by dates will be sorted and shelved in the pantry by members of the board of directors and other volunteers. The food pantry is located in the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor’s fellowship hall, which is accessible from the church’s lower parking lot.

The Souper Bowl of Caring has become a highly successful fundraiser for our local food pantry over recent years. Please help us once again to replenish our shelves through your generous donations. If you have questions, please call the food pantry at 350-2962.
