As summer slowly glides by, it reminds us that it is once again time to apply for the Webster Beal Student Music award.

This fund was set up in memory of Arthur Webster and Danny Beal, two local and well loved musicians. It is available to any student in the region who would like to explore any musical interest they may have. Past recipients, two of whom are pictured here, have been awarded a guitar with lessons, a keyboard with lessons and a third, a trumpet with lessons.

If you are a student, or know of a student, who is interested in exploring music or learning to play an instrument, you are encouraged to apply to this program.

Applications are available until the end of September and can be obtained at the Opera House in Boothbay Harbor during their regular business hours, Tuesday through Friday.
