Senior Night ceremony held for indoor track, girls basketball

Four female senior athletes and their families were recognized for their accomplishments and dedication at Boothbay Region High School during a Senior Night ceremony in BRHS’s Porter Memorial Gym Wednesday night, Feb. 9.

Each athlete was introduced and handed carnations from their coach, which they delivered to their families during the brief ceremony held before the girls varsity basketball game against Mt. Abram.

Indoor track coach Nick Scott greeted his two athletes at mid-court to begin the ceremony.

First was Marissa Davison, granddaughter of Charlie and Ruth Balsdon. She has participated in indoor track for two seasons and plans to attend college and study hospitality and tourism management.

Next was Grace Campbell, daughter of Bill and Kelly Campbell. She has participated in indoor track for two seasons and plans to attend college to study environmental science.

Coach Bruce Orne and assistant coach Barbara Carbone Crocker then gave hugs and flowers to their two Seahawk basketball seniors.

First was Emilie Crocker, daughter of Ed and Candie Crocker. She has played basketball for four seasons and plans to attend either Thomas College or University of Maine at Farmington to study early childhood education.

Last to be introduced was Jaelyn Crocker, daughter of Allan and Barb Crocker. She has played basketball for four seasons and plans to attend college to study physical therapy.
