Samantha Carter of East Boothbay, a 2016 graduate of Boothbay Region High School, has graduated Cum Laude from Becker College, Worcester/Leicester, Massachusetts, with a bachelor of science in veterinary science, pre-veterinary concentration. Carter was one of more than 430 students recognized at a virtual commencement celebration.

Samantha played four years of field hockey and women’s lacrosse for the Hawks where she was named NECC field hockey player of the year in 2018. Carter served three seasons as captain of her lacrosse team that became the winningest team in the history of the program in 2019. Samantha was sad to loose her final Becker lacrosse season due to COVID-19 but hopes to continue collegiate play in graduate school.

She is the daughter of Mark and Paulette Carter of East Boothbay. She is currently working at Boothbay Animal Hospital.
