Dear Editor:

I would simply like to take this opportunity to express a boatload of appreciation and gratitude to the myriad kind hearted and emphatic folks, be they known or unknown, who stepped up to be supportive of me and the work that I was in the process of doing on Sept. 2.

In spite of someone mistakenly helping themselves to my working tools while I was doing yard work, I was overwhelmed by the swift response from so many offering me the use of their own tools as well as generously donating funds to replace what was taken.

For the many souls who responded to my plight, I would paraphrase what Mr. Eastwood once said … “You made my day!”
