Sacred Altar Retreat coming to Boothbay Harbor
A unique and inspiring three-day retreat, Creating the Sacred Altar, will take place Wednesday, July 16 through Friday, July 18 at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation, 1 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor. Led by renowned spiritual guide and ritual artist Georjean Machulis, this immersive experience invites participants to explore personal healing, creativity, and connection with the Divine Feminine.
The retreat centers on the creation of a sacred altar using a triptych of carved, hinged wooden panels—an intimate process supported by intention, reflection, and gentle guidance. Participants are encouraged to bring images, poetry, writings, and personal mementos to weave into their altars, which can be displayed open or folded shut as private sanctuaries of inspiration and meaning.
Georjean Machulis, honored with “The People’s Choice” award for her dream altars at the International Association for the Study of Dreams in the Netherlands, brings over 35 years of experience leading ceremonies, retreats, and dreamwork. She will be joined by Alijah Sheer, art therapist and dream interpreter, and Marja Draskic Brancazio, shamanic practitioner, healer and artist.
All materials are provided. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. For more information, please contact: www.boothbayartists.org
