Rosemary Bourette: A new voice for the board

Mon, 04/15/2019 - 3:15pm

    Dear Editor:

The current Board of Selectmen is made up of interested community members that have come here to live, many times having retired to have a second home and enjoy the beauty of our area. Many local members of the community do not have the opportunity to become involved in politics because many are working two jobs to be able to live here. It isn’t because they don’t care!

We need a new voice, a voice that has lived in this town for over 40 years, knows the need to improve and continue realizing that tourism is very important to the financial well-being of Boothbay Harbor. She is also very concerned about the lobster fishing industry and its future. Preserving the access to dockage and profitable sales.

Rosemary Bourette is not involved in the “special interest” groups that are proposing or against change in our community; she is interested in what her role can be to improve the business and living climate here in the region.

Let’s consider Rosemary a “local” and vote for her on May 3 to represent us on the Board of Selectmen. We need a new voice and that voice is Rosemary Bourette.

Vote on May 3, in person or as an absentee voter.

    Nancy Case

    Boothbay Harbor
