Lincoln Arts Festival present Ringers on the Green on Wednesday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor.
The Ringers on the Green is an ensemble of high school students representing the music ministry of The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, New Jersey. The choir rings six octaves of Schulmerich handbells and five octaves of Schulmerich handchimes. In its 47-year history, the group has performed in 40 states, Canada, Bermuda and Europe.
Conductor and organist Matthew Webb is the director of music at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, where he conducts all adult and high school musical ensembles. He holds degrees in music and philosophy from Wake Forest University and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of North Carolina (Greensboro). Dr. Webb has served as a parish musician in Episcopal, Baptist, United Methodist and Presbyterian congregations, where he has built choral and instrumental programs for children, youth and adults. He is also the director of choral and vocal studies at Drew University, where he conducts multiple choirs and oversees the voice division.
This is a benefit concert. Donations accepted at the door for Boothbay Region Community Resource Council (BRCRC).
