Emma Ranzetta of Scarborough, Maine is serving a summer internship with the Boothbay Register/Wiscasset Newspaper.

She is a rising senior at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine who will graduate next spring with a business communications degree.

“From there I hope to be in the TV news industry working as a news reporter. This internship is going to be important for me this summer and into my career as a news reporter so I am very grateful for this opportunity.

“During a virtual conference with Getting Published professor Dr. Wendy Galgan, we talked about my future goals and she connected me to this internship and I am so grateful for her support. After ending her class and starting this internship, I truly believe that her class has taught me how to write professionally and I can’t wait for you all to read my stories this summer.”

Ranzetta, who will work remotely this summer, said writing has always been her passion and something that she has always loved doing.
