Reading event for veterans, service members

A reading and discussion group at Thomaston's Knox Museum for veterans and former service members of all eras will be held every Wednesday starting on Wednesday, April 18, through Wednesday, May 16, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Registration is free.

Participants will be reading “Fearful Odds: A Memoir of Vietnam and Its Aftermath” by Charles W. Newhall and texts from other genres, perspectives, and conflicts.

The program will be facilitated by Matt Hansbury, U.S. Coast Guard and OIF Iraqi Freedom Veteran, and Kate Ver Ploeg, University of Maine at Augusta.
